Becoming an adult is hard no matter what anyone says. You don’t need to do it alone.

Therapy for this stage of your life

Entering adulthood after university or the army can be overwhelming to say the least. Decision making, figuring out your next steps, navigating relationships and friendships, adjusting to a new city or country, juggling other newfound responsibilities -phew- its alot!

Maybe you’re scared, confused, anxious, or lost. Maybe it feels like everyone else has it figured out and you’re the only one struggling. It can be a lonely and isolating feeling.

Questions and thoughts like:

What’s wrong with me?

Why can’t I just get it together?

I have no idea what I’m doing!

Why am I always so anxious?

might be sending you into a spiral.

Let’s get you back on track.

Your Mental Health “Gym”

We’re privileged to live in a generation where therapy is utilized to get to know ourselves, our behaviors, and thought patterns better. It’s not only a tool used when the going gets tough. Rather, it can also be a wonderful resource to learn tools, techniques and insights about ourselves, and how we can better manage everyday rollercoasters that inevitably come up. It can be empowering and liberating to strengthen your mental health “toolbox” when you’re feeling good and can then tap back into when you feel that familiar wave rolling in.

My Approach

I believe in a holistic approach to our health, which includes both mental and physical. It’s all magically interconnected and what we eat, our sleeping patterns and exercise habits, social interactions and even our cycles as women all affect our mental health and vice versa. You know yourself best, and I offer a gentle guiding hand to help you along your journey.

We can work on different tools and tips to figure out how to better your mental health by incorporating big and smaller habits into your life.

Reasons clients come to see me

Mental Health Toolbox

We can work together to learn new tools and techniques to stock up your mental health toolbox to tap back into when things get rough. Think: voice noting yourself when you just need to vent, mindfulness techniques or anxiety management to name a few.

Stress and Anxiety Management

We can work on figuring out what your triggers are, what makes you anxious and stressed and how to best manage and deal with it.

Digging Deep

Our childhood and upbringing significantly affects who we become. Often it can lead to unwanted behaviors, habits or choices we make. By looking back into your childhood we can better understand your present day self and work on doing things differently.

Identifying your Individual Voice

The transition into independent adulthood often leads to new friendships, relationships, and perhaps different lifestyle choices than the ones you grew up with. We can work together while exploring those changes.

If you’ve gotten this far, you’re probably ready to get started.
